In June 2013, Brian was selected in the top ten at the Telluride Troubadour Contest. This prestigious event prompted Brian to record his third solo album, Mandolin Troubadour. This album has 6 original tunes with solo mandolin and vocals. Brian used three different mandolins on the EP: a 1924 Gibson Lloyd Loar, a 2006 Collings MF5V, and a 2013 Collings MTO.
