Lakota Leathers (USA):

All of our mandolin straps are made on the Pine Ridge reservation, South dakota USA. Each of our braided straps use Elk hide exclusively and are hand braided by a member of the Lakota Sioux Nation. We use Elk hide because it is softer and stronger than any other leather. That\'s why Ronnie McCoury uses a Lakota Leathers braided elk hide mandolin strap. Our standard braided strap length is 43" with three adjustment holes at the strap button end.
